What's the latest news on this heli? Does anybody know when it will be released or what engine will fit in it?

I think they facing problem with vibration issue .and they used damping mount for engine and in my opinion this is not right way the right way is balance the motor this will reduce vibration and increase power as well but i think that motor so difficult to deal with .

I agree it's been very quiet lately regarding this heli. You would think there would be a lot more info about it by now.

The gasser market is crying out for a value for money gasser and I was relying on Align to bring one to the market but in the end I got fed up of waiting and bought a Helibug 700 conversion kit and I have to say I am very impressed with it.

I only like to fly gassed up

Same here. Who knows what the price will be. If you already have the kit is easier to do a conversion.
So many people out there have made the conversions that I think Align would not make the market even if they come out with one.
Remember they are more hard 3D'ers out there than sportflyers.

And IMO I don't think that the 700 from Align would even come close to do Hard 3D..
Cheers

I believe that the gassers eventually will become more powerful. I think going flybarless on gassers will help a lot. I also found out that there will be a 29 cc engine available soon from Bh Hanson.

now that Zenoah is producing a 29cc cylinder kit, ALL the tuners will have a version. TRM is in the process of producing a prototype.

Want that be alot of vibration to deal with or over come? It should do any 3D if it works out.

Thanks

They will if you build them your self. I don't think that Align or Century will sell a gasser being the Radikal or the 700G come with a mod engine. And stock engine being 20cc or 29cc is not powerfull enough.

If you look in the Hanson site he sells a heli engine rated at 4.8 HP. That is more powerful than the current nitro engines. My OS HZ is rated at 3.4 HP. Thats a big difference. I wonder what the 700G with the 29cc engine and flybarless would perform like? I think it would be close if not more powerful than a nitro powered heli.

I think the two draw backs is the weight of the gas motor and the fast rpm change like a nitro has. I think Trex needs to beef up the frame and maybe a few more parts to handle the vibration. I think the carbon frame is a little to thin for a gasser. I think if it crashed it would destroy most of the heli do to it being built so light weight. I love the speatra i think it is near perfect. I hope the Spectra will stay on top of the gasser world. Good job MA i just wish they would make all the plastic parts out of aluminum i don't mind plastic grips on the head but i wish it had aluminum t

Thanks

I was hoping to hear something about the 700G around the first of the year but haven't heard anything. I ended up buying a Radikal instead.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

sasa,i was not saying it would not work i just thought to myself maybe the frame needed to be a little thicker just on account of vibrations trying to break the frame down over time. Just my thinking. Sounds like your came out good so it must be ok. Two good looking Trex gassers up there.

Thanks

700 Gasser
I have been looking at a 700N Helibug Conversion and i've seen one fly and i was pretty impressed, It had a 28.5CC engine that was tuned, and aside from the guy running the wrong pinion (and he knows it, just needs the funds for the swap) it did great. With a 22T pinion the headspeed was high and the motor rpm was low so it never really got on the pipe. A 17T would be perfect. I'm waiting for Align to release something though so I have options...
