I ordered a 700 size unit because it was all I could find in stock. It's going in a 600 size nitro that I've already got setup mechanically. I'm curious as to whether there would be a significant difference in the programmable parameters of the different sizes.

I think you are assuming the electronics are different between 500, 600 & 700. Thats not the case, when you order for a specific size heli that is only so you get the correct head. Electronic units are all the same.

I'm really not assuming anything here. I'm fully aware that the different sizes have different sizes of heads. I can see by the pictures that the electronics appear to be identical.

However it may well be that there are different parameters set as default for different versions. Without software, or a software interface, it will be difficult for an end user to know this.

I've not yet flown an FBL machine, much less played with ships of various sizes/configurations. I'm hoping that someone who has considerable experience in this area might be willing to shed some light on the probabilities of the different sizes containing the same parameters.

same question
Jay,

I have the same question as you do..somewhere there is mention that in future the 3G will be open for programming the parameters. But for now it is preset with parameter base on AJ testing.

So it is a question that I want to know also if I got a 600 combo, can I use it on my 500 with my already existence 500 head (different brand)....i.e. if the parameters on the FBL 3G unit on 600 combo and 500 combo the same setting ?

PS: On other FBL that I used, you change these stting for diffferent size heli....Gyrobot, Vbar....
