which governor is everyone using on the radikal?

i would like to use the spektrum all in one receiver ???

should work.If you do a little searching, there was a bunch of threads on this very issue.pretty much any govener will work just a matter of magnet polarity.I use the GV1 and i had to install a magnet because the ignition magnet is the wrong polarity.

Yes, the 7100R will work on the Radikal using the stock crankpin sensor, I'm using one on mine. See my posts here... https://rc.runryder.com/t551272p8/ and here... https://rc.runryder.com/t551272p9/ on sensor mounting and orientation.

are you using the crankpin sensor to read the magnet on the fan and not the back of the engine?

do i need any special mounting hardware to mount the sensor correctly?

thats cool i can use the 7100r ..just want to get it all right...

i just looked at alumafx site...

so i need one of their brackets with the sensor and that will mount fine and work with 7100r right?

thanks for the help...

what other goodies should i order for the the radikal?

Make sure the AR7100R sensor is reading the magnet in the right direction. The red light on the RX should turn off after the magnet passes over the sensor. If it stays red then you need to turn the whole sensor 180 deg. I made a custom bracket for mine. Carl.

Absolutely make sure that the sensor is working as described before flying. I also had to turn it around 180 degrees to get proper operation. What I did was embed the lower part of the sensor in epoxy along with a small screw sticking out so I could mount it to the stock bracket "backwards" from the way it is normally mounted. So far it has worked perfectly through 2 gallons of fuel.

Wow , looks like Carl and I came up with very simular bracketsdid not use the ears so the upgrade was not needed on mine..
Just did the first 3 tanks on mine today , everything but ar7100r rev limitr worked great , caint stop grinning yet....(may have even giggled like a scool-girl at one point:eek
Thanks for the turning the pickup 180deg idea , that will probably fix it as my red led stays on too..
also , what limiter atv's are you getting with what headspeed and gear ratio?

what limiter atv's are you getting with what headspeed and gear ratio?
Using 6.9 gearing I have low atv set at 50, high at 60, gives headspeeds of roughly 1725 and 1850. With the lower gearing I see no reason to spin the head any faster, it will do anything you want it to at 1850 and for the most part I use the lower setting for the majority of the flying I do. Full collective climb outs at 1850 HS are about the same as on my Raptor 50 Titan with OS Hyper
