Here is a short video of the simulation model of the Retract Gear in-action.

The mechanism work great so far. I should be assembly this Retract Gear sometime next week.

In the videos, I only setup the simulation for one side working...
But you get the idea. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks Hoverup and Reiserrob2003,

I have been working on this design for almost 2.5 months.
Its nice to see it coming together. The CATIA simulation model gave me a good indication on whether it would work or not.

Next, I have to finish up the rest of the shock obsorber and mount the tire.

Will post more build photos.

You can also install the Front Gear in this orientation as well.
But it would require some mod. to the existing wood work frame.

Some more Cad photos of the two design configurations FWD Front Wheel and AFT Front Wheel.

For FWD Front Wheel configuration, require fuselage / wood frame mod for clearance...Extra works but it will give the heli more realistic.
Or less work, stay with AFT Front Wheel configuration. only mod the wood frame but no mod fuselage.

For this project, I will use the FWD Front Wheel configuration design layout version.

Yeah I'm a landing gear man myself also. Good work. When/if I get into scale the first things tackled will also be the landing gear.I only crash due to random planetary intervention

WOW!!!! I can't believe how great that is coming along! I am sitting here and have so many thoughts about what I want to do to my own T700 but can't cuz it is in Ga! I believe that if you made that gear setup available, you would be able to make a huge profit!!! Get that patent and sell it to me!!!! LOL!!
