The only thing you would need is the FLB unit and the rotor head/swash driver w/links. 2 places comes to my mind where you can get them. http://www.helidirect.com and http://www.readyheli.com
But i'm pretty sure there are alot of vendors and LHS out there that has them now. Also align is coming out with there 450 version flb, might want to wait for that unit coming very soon.

There will be a T-rex 450 version of Align's 3G FBL system soon, like in a week or two. It will come with complete head and electronics. This will be the cheapest setup.

+1 to what Steph says.
I did a Gaui head and SK360 controller. ($65 + $265)
What Align is comming out with will be better for sure.
You have lots of reading up to do and hopefully finless Bob or someone reputable will do a tutorial on it.
My FBL 450 is put away till I make up some shorter patch cables. The ones that come with the SK360 are too long for a 450. It looks like a rats nest. Cyclic rates I can get out of it are insane though.

Yea, I forgot you also get a tail gyro which my SK360 does not include. I can only guess that the FBL Align comes with a gyro that is as good as the GP750?

The gyro software in the 3g FBL is the same as the new Align 780 gyro.

I have a mini Vbar in my 450 V2. When I got my 450 Pro, I didn't want to spend the money on another miniV that I couldn't use on any of my larger nitro helis.
The new full size Vbar that you can run with just satellite RXs was the solution. The main Vbar unit sits between the side frames and sensor is up on the gyro pad. Works great ! I can even access the usb and control panel ports for setup or quick tweaks at the field.

go with the align 3G ,it comes with the head for a very good price and the set up is very easy,no need to take a laptop to the field anymore or buy and carry the contol panel for the v bar...

I use a computer once for my initial setup. From then on I only use the control panel.
With the control panel in your shirt pocket, there is no need for a laptop at the field with a Vbar. Plus it's a text readout of what you are adjusting....not lights and counting flashes, etc. Last you can choose the simple setup menu, or the advanced to tweak whatever parameters you want to.

Agreed, the Align unit will be cheaper.
