This is just unbelievable what I have found. Ive been eating every known antacid sold just to get through the day to day pain of heartburn. I would get heartburn from anything I ate. Iv been to several doctors and had all the test $$$$$$ In every instant the outcome was the same, A prescription for Prilosec, Prevacid or the like. These drugs caused all the pain to go away magically. I started reading about the side effects of these drugs some time ago and was already feeling some of them as I am a 10 year Prilosec user. Joint pain, hair loss, bone fractures due to vitamin C deficiency, Vitamin B12 deficiency, and the list goes on. After a shoulder injury playing football with the boys, I thought that wasent that hard of a fall but was screwed up for the better part of a month just for the pain to go away. The Doctors said alcohol/smoking/coffee was some of the reasons I was having heartburn. Every doctor had it WRONG all along. Maybe because they get kick backs from the Pharmaceutical industry. I am so angry at so many doctors that I could $hit a green onion!! I am now 8 weeks free of heartburn for the first time in 20 years and still eat barbeque, drink beer and smoke. Any guesses to what my problem was?? Oh and by the way this problem is for 70% of heartburn sufferers.

Heartburn
In my case it was an infection in my stomach, It was cured outright with something called Quadflex. I was told the infection was bactierial in nature.

Would you believe I added acid to my stomach? To little stomach acid causes heartburn because your food does not digest and sits there and rots, like a compose pile, churning and producing gas which is boiling and pushed up into the esophagus. Your stomach will not empty into the small intestine until it is fully digested by the stomach. People with low stomach acid will take forever to digest food and heartburn is the result. Low acid leaves the LES half open and lets everything that in the stomach to flow back into the esophagus. The right amount of stomach acid and the LES closes and will not allow this back wash. It is a medical rarity that a person has to much stomach acid!! I thought my doctor was off his meds telling me I needed more acid. I am now taking Betaine Hydrochloride 500mg "Totally natural" with every meal and am heartburn free now. I just cant believe I was jacked for so long. Just goes to show how the old mighty $ works on ones decision. My doctor said most people and or doctors dont know this Is the problem from the start.

Very interesting. I suffer from heartburn quite often. It's not very severe, and usually a couple tums do the trick. I suspect that the tums just cover up the symptoms, and do nothing to help the root cause. Maybe this could help my father in-law he eats rolaids like it's his job.

Any heath food store.

Yug is correct, cabbage, raw cabbage in a juicer is one of the best for your digestive health.
