Is anyone using this servo or is it too slow?

SPECS
Speed: 0.14 sec/60° at 6V
Torque: 430.6 oz-in (31.0kg-cm at 6V)
Size: 1.59 x 0.83 x 1.51" (40.5 x 21 x 38.4mm)
Weight: 2.58oz (73g)

Put it this way. Nick Maxwell's favorite servo for his models is the BLS252. It's 0.01s faster @ 6V. I doubt 0.14s will be a severe hindrance to you.

THAT said, the deadband characteristics of the BLS152 may not be as ideal for a helicopter a the more task designed servos. IOW, the servo might not "feel" as good to you in flight as a BLS252 or similar. It's depends on your tastes and desires.

My guess is it's an RC Crawler/truck steering servo. They like to use gobs of torque.
