I have seen this once before where the bolt came out.

It appears that after cutting the thread in the spindle the oil is not cleaned out also the bolts are covered in oil.

It is necessary to clean both parts thoroughly for the loctite to hold.

So the entire spindle bolt is still in tact inside the grip?

This is good news as it does explain at least one as something other than a sheered bolt.

Hope you get your 700 back together and flying asap! Did both blades make it without damage?

btw with all the FBL conversion happening in the next few weeks I think you'll be able to get a near new condition head from the classifieds cheap.

Also when shoving the spindle through the dampers I stuff some paper towel inside the spindle so the grease from the dampers doesn't get shoved inside the spindle.

Also here it is best to put the locktight inside the feathering shaft with a tooth pick as opposed to putting it on the bolt. It prevents getting the washer and bearings gummed up with locktight.
