I beleive it does have a bearing on the crown gear. You should be able to remove it by lightly taking a flat head between the base of the gear and the bearing and slightly twist the flathead so to apply pressure to the bearing slightly inching it up, and then do the same 180degrees from that position. Keep doing this until the bearing pops off. This is what I've done with other servos and worked quite well. Then take the bearing and press it on to the news gear. It shouldn't take much pressure, but make sure the bearing is on level and it bottoms out on the seat. Hope this helps.

You shouldn't have to buy the bearing unless it is damaged, the new gear sets don't come with a bearing for this reason. Just remove it from the old crown gear and replace it on the new gear. Check here on how to disassemble/re-assemble a 9252: https://rc.runryder.com/t396825p1/

Eww, yeah I'm not sure about that. If it were just the bearings, I would say that you could order the bearings that fit that size from your LHS. I did some searching last night with no avail. I'll look again.

Yes there are 2 ball bearings and an o-ring that i always remove. One of the bearings is in the top of the case (the o-ring is above it, just to help seal the servo better, but sometimes they seem to cause drag), the other is in the bottom of the output gear. I have plenty of these bearings. If you pm me with your address I will send you a couple
