I currently have an MCX and will be getting an MSR shortly. I want to upgrade my transmitter, and also want to buy a Phoenix simulator. I am considering a DX6i transmitter, and I know I can get the Phoenix sim with or without a DX5 transmitter.

So my question is, if I get the Phoenix sim with the DX5, will I be sorry I didn't get the DS6i?

As I'm sure you can tell, I've very new to this, but enjoying every flight!

You will definately be sorry that you got the 5X5e, my suggestion would be to get the sim without the radio and get the Dx6i. It will be a good transmitter to get you off to a great start. After that if you get into bigger heli's or nitro you can upgrade to a Dx7 or better transmitter.

Coming out of heli retirement...
