Anyone know when the next gen with camera will be available?

Also, is 8gig sufficient or justifying another $100 for the 32 gig version.

With the iPods, always get the biggest you can afford. And seeing that the 8gb is 2/3rds of the price but only 1/4th of the capacity, I would definantly go with the 32Gb. My first iPhone was an 8gb and it seemed to be enough, but now I have a 16gb iPhone and have filled far more than 8gbs of it. The smaller you have the more selective you have to be with your content.

As for the next gen., I cant see it coming out till later this year, but Apple does have a press conference next Wednesday.

My iPod was dropped into the water and I was so sad,so I bought iPhone to replace it.

iPod and iPhone are good but the only problem is if you drop them into water, whatever how fast you rescue them from the water, you have to buy a new one.

Of course not waterproof. If Nokia and short time in the water, take the battery out, and let it dry. It can work again. My last Nokia dropped into water twice, it works very well still.

The difference is iPhone's battery is one set with the phone, and Nokia's battery can be taken out.

This is quite alot of $$$. How do you protect your iTouch/display or is the iTouch/display durable. My 13 year old is a responsible young man but some times things happen.

Get a Zagg InvisiShield. I have slide my iPhone across pavement to show a buddy it will not cratch it. It will not protect against drops though. For that I would suggest a good case, like the Otter Box Defender for the iPhone. I have seen an iPhone in this case thrown across a room without any harm.

With the amount you are spending on the device I would highly suggest spending the money on good protection for it. My wife and I bought our 8 year old daughter an iPod Touch for her last birthday and she has been fine with it. They will hold up very well.

I got my first Apple gadget and was impressed but iTunes cannot recognize the iTouch or Win 7.

Also, I downloaded a movie and app from the iTouch to try but after numerous attempts to sync iTunes with iTouch and performing a reset it wiped the iTouch movie and app.

To no avail and numerous hours trying to get this to work. I downloaded the movie and apps on to the itunes but when I tried to play the movie it wouldn't play. I was able to play the trailer.

Reinstalled and uninstall the itunes and apple software twice to no avail. Followed the online support and still does not recognize the iTouch on iTunes or Win 7.

Frustrated I am and losing my patient.

Reinstall the driver and now I can see the iTouch but it shows up as Apple ipod. Device menu shows as portable device but nothing on the usb device. The initial install, I was able to see the driver on the USB but not any more.

The OtterBox for iPod case line has been discontinued and the product you are looking for is no longer available. We will continue to sell through current inventory of the remaining iPod case models, but only until inventory runs out.

OtterBox has chosen to focus on smartphone cases moving forward. All iPod cases purchased through OtterBox will continue to be eligible for warranty benefits according to current company policies.
