I am building a 50 size Long Ranger and was initially going to install
a Raptor 50.
Well I can't afford a turbine so Emile/Copterdoctor came to the rescue and converted a new Titan I had into electric.
He did his usual fantastic job and I am in love with my titan electric mechanics.
Thanks Emile!!!

below is the first test flight by Emile.

I should add that Emile made the mount and an adaptor so that the clutch is still used.
this allows for engine spool up and the blades don't move right away giving a more scale look and sound.

I love the sound of the blades.
I should have warned Emile that since he did such a good job, there is a 60-90 size conversion in the future

Emile, what motor are you using for converting the Raptors, and how many cells are you running them on (6S or 8S?)?

i am using the century power combo like i did in my 58D only Roy;s is using the 565kv motor while i used the 800kv motor in my 58d.
we ran a 6 cell battery in Roy's titan. my kiowa runs two 6 cell batteries in parallel

easy, peasy, ja-pan-easy
the pics say it all.
the mount itself started off in lite ply because its easy to cut, ceap and i knew i wasnt gonna get it right the first time. after the mount was perfected, i cut it from carbon fiber. the aluminum portion of the raptor fan was duplicated to have the center hole bored for 5mm so now it slips ontothe motor's output shaft. slide the motor with the new flywheel with the clutch mounted up into the already existing bell assembly and thats it. oh, it was apain locating thre holes in the sideframes for the mount when i did mine but i was more scientific doing it on Roy's and worked perfect the first time
