If i missed a thread about this topic im sorry, please point me in the right direction.

I fly a logo 700/10s 4200 hyperian/scorpion/kontronic speedo/raptor 90 boom. The problem is that to get the heli to balance on the main shaft i need to put the batteries forward using an extension plate. This causes interference with the L600 canopy. Any ideas? I'd hate to add weight to balance the helicopter after taking so much time to lighten the thing.

thanks

Ben

Either heavier packs by MAH or go 12S, using 2 packs results in it being longer hence why i still prefer stick packs.

Or get a fat ESC or motor maybe.
It should still fly ok???

12s 5000 seems to be the sweet spot for flight time/power as well as CG with the Logo being such a light machine.........Ron

I'm using 10s 3600mAh 30c (~980g) and have no problem with my canopy. I use a lightweight 4025, CC-Esc... lipos are mounted on a plate. 1/2 to 2/3 of the front 5s lipo stands out of the frame. I'm using 12s A123 with ~920g and no problem too...

logo 700
I have a new Logo700 setup and originally I was using the Raptor boom and 770xl belt...with 12s 5000mah lipos

Well...my machine ended up being quite Nose heavy(OPPOSITE OF YOU) so I had to put the longer Vario boom and 828xl belt on mine to get the CG correct.

I think 12s 4500 would be perfect or 10s 5000mah would be perfect for that setup...with a scorpion 4035 sized motor.

Correct, with 12S 4500MAH and 770XL belt its pretty much spot on with lipo all the way to the rear.

im really sorry guys, i have the same problem as Jag72. the 700 is TAIL HEAVY!! i just had shoulder surgery and am blaming the pain meds.

i know its because i run 10s and not 12. upping to 12 would require new chargers speedo and batteries.

He is saying that you need to also add a metal Quick UK tail assembly to handle the 105mm tail blades. The stock Mikado tail assembly cannot handle the larger tail blades needed for the 700mm stretch.........Ron

Or opt for the RJX tail assembly which you can get with the metal pitch arm.
Got iit on my L700, and works a treat.

Can you give the number of the parts?
XT60050 Pitch Slider assembly.
You will have to shorten the brass tube section that screws into the "Y" aluminium arm to get enough pitch movement, but thats a simple task with a rotary tool.

XT90-60054 Metal Pitch Arm
This just needs spacing out with washers or a small metal spacer to get it to the right hight for mounting on the existing metal plate.

UP60528 Metal Tail Blade Holder assembly including Tail hub.
Excelent straight swap out for the existing plastic unit

Below are links to a shop in singapore that I got my RJX flybarless head from. Can recommend them as they did me a great deal and were quick on the delivery.

For head RJX 90 size for 10MM shaft, you need to redrill mikado main shaft about 20MM down with 4MM carbide drill bit.

RJX 90 head
I use the rjx head on all my logo 600's and 700's

I like the full metal head ..

There is actually room to go even 30mm or more lower ...

When I drill my shafts out I go 30mm lower than the stock hole and it gives the heli a nice low profile on the head..

The KEY to drilling out the SUPER SUPER hard Mikado mainshafts is to start with a tiny little carbide bit and drill out one size up at a time...about 10 drill bits later you get to a 4mm hole ...which I tap out myself...for the small threaded 4mm bolts..I know some just run one long 4mm bolt through the head also...either way is fine..
