Who has lost models in the trees?
I just put a new micro P-51 in top of my neighbors oak tree! Tried for 2 hours to get it down, and its still up there! I have never been as mad as I am right now!!! If it was my tree it would be laying down in the yard!

There was a thread a while back by Jag72, I think it is still there. I followed the thread for a while and I think he gave up. I will try and find the thread. There was a lot of ideas to get helis and planes down.

Bird in a tree
Before you cut that tree you ought to go to the nursery and price out a fully grown tree some are in the thousands.

Poles, trees, wires, ground, blackouts, dumb thumbs, parts failure, phone calls, blindness, flame out, out of all of the above failures what do you think would be the easiest to avoid???

I have palm trees in my yard where i fly most of my birds. quite a large place. i have at times gone into a mental block and slamed the blades int othe tree.....usualy its only the blades, main shaft and feathering shaft that needs changing, but still expensive.

still I would rather keep the tree

Been there done that as well.

While practicing in my front yard two years ago inverted hover it got away from me and got stuck in an oak tree at about 60feet off the ground. This tree had no limbs on it until about 50 feet up.
I called everyone I could think of to try and get this down and no luck.
Luckily for me I was selling another heli to a guy this same day and when he came over to pick his new heli up I told him of my situation and he told me that his brother inlaw was an arborist and professional tree climber so he gave him a call and he came out with his gear strapped on his spikes and climbed that tree and saved my heli.
Needless to say he got one hell of a deal for bailing me out.
Only damage to the heli was the lipo was gone as it had been stuck in the tree for most of the day.
