So Mandy crashed my 600N flying it into the ground at Mach 3. It sustained a lot of damage.

One of the things that got damaged was the very expensive 9 ch JR 921 RX. So I sent it in with a letter and the original sales receipt. I knew it was a long shot that anything could be salvaged or that it could be repaired, but I sent it anyway.

I got a box in the mail yesterday with a brand new JR 921 RX and Satellite receiver!

Heck, they even sent back the protective sleeving that I had on the satellite wires!

How cool is that!

Now the box contained a letter that said that normally they do not replace an RX that had been damaged in a crash, and this was an unusual offer/gesture on their part, your mileage may vary, etc., etc., blah blah blah.

Bottom line, I got a very expensive RX from the manufacturer to replace one damaged in a crash - for free!

I am very happy with their customer support!

Brownout eh?
Actually No, she lost orientation. She was doing a realy cool rolling tail slide and she pulled out in a wierd orientation and fought it all the way into the ground!

I had a similar thing happen as well. They replaced a 921 and ar7000 for free. I also wanted my 9303 2.4 screen replaced because it had a few nicks in it, they just replaced it and sent it back free of charge. All in all I paid 16.21 to ship it to them.

I would expect nothing less from a quality company like JR.
Heck you pay for the replacement when you buy your items new.

You gotta love a fighting girl! I was just kidding on the brownout though, since no one took the bait I am guessing most knew I wasn't serious (as usual).

Hell you gotta love any girl that actually can fly these things, crashes or not! Throw a ring on that hand if you haven't already.

What will happen first, nuclear fusion or girls 3d'ing en masse!?!

I don't care if the helis they fly are pink, as long as they are there.

and yet another pat on the back for horizon, I never expect anything for free, especially if i cause the problem. for horizon to fix/replace things several times for absolutely no charge is above and beyond.

Then there is hobbico. for all of the crap treatment that i have gotten from hobbico and the service center, I will never own anything hobbico again, ever (did i mention ever).

I had a similiar experience with JR years ago. I damaged an R700 in a crash, sent it back requesting repairs and inquired if I could upgrade to an R770 adding that I'd be happy to pay repair/upgrade fee's etc. They sent me back a new R770...no charge! Of course the positive image and word of mouth advertising they receive in return more than makes up for their expense. Some businesses realize this while unfortunatly others do not.
