When setting up the pitch range on a flybarless V bar fitted heli would you do it with the programmer plugged in and in set up mode?

I`m trying to check it in flight mode and seems a bit hit and miss and the swash doesn`t always stay level.

Yes, you need to be in setup mode to check any pitch ranges. In the flight parameters page the gyros and control loop are active which adds additional input. It is normal to not have a level swash when moving collective up and down while in that mode.

OK thanks Phil

I`ll go and find my handheld programmer out and see what happens.

Yes, you definitely need to go it in setup mode to get an accurate measurement.
