well i ordered the case on the 13th, i got it today.
i thought i ordered the 11 dollar black case, but it looks like i got the 14 dollar grayish blue case.
one bearing is shot, but i have the bearings out of the plastic case.
this case is very light as well. the copterx case feels twice as heavy.
anyway, im flying again.

i got a 5083 for the 2100t on my blade400 now, what a big difference a good tail servo makes.

so the blade and the EXI Le is up and flying.

i should get 50 buck`s for my bday in a few weeks, im trying to decide if i should get another charger, or a couple more batteries and some more woodies, or some more parts for the blade.
50 bucks doesnt go far at all. if i buy another charger, i can help my t6 charger with the 8 batteries i have now.
if i buy a couple more batteries, i can throw a couple old weak ones away.
if i buy more wooden blades and batteries, i can fly/crash a few more times.

but in order to be able to crash the blade400, i need somemore parts.

man i hate not haveing a job.
maybe i`ll sell off the blade now that its flying very darn well, and use that money for more main blades, batteries, charger, and a few more crash parts for the EXI.
man what am i to do here.

Larry, you know how broke I am and im flying 2 90's .I keep thinking the same thing you are (just having 1 heli) but in the end it comes down to "if" I crash I can still fly that day.I don't have the $$ to keep up on 2 helis but lucky for me there the same helis. Its sooooo nice having a extra heli for that oops day because you can still fly.In a way for you,you have a 450 size heli which takes maybe 15-20 mins to fix "if" you crash. You could sale or part out (you'll make more $$ parting it out) the Blade 400 and could really stock up on parts for the 450.600LE,OS55,OS PowerBoost pipe,Align 610's,Spartan

i thought i would post this video taken with the key chain cam.
we all know how these cams pickup vibrations and show as a wavy video, but these EXI`s are so smooth and the cam proves it.
take a look, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IqcTHv_VjM

been awhile sense i`ve posted any news on the exi, still flying like new.
i crashed it, not bad mind you, but it did pull out two balls on the mixing arms, one on each arm.
replaced and it still flies like new, very pleased with the exi brand helis.

just to toot the EXI horn alittle more.
i honestly cant remember ever having a heli this maintance free before, man i can do a quick once over before flight and go. the preflight check isn`t realy necessary, but i do it just to besure the servos are moving the correct direction, you never know if the dx6i radio will loose its memory.

anyway, man im having a blast with this exi, wouldn`t skip a beat to get another if i had the money.

oh man, sorry about that.
i thought you meant in my pic`s, you did`nt see the Le.

i believe the Le is now discontinued, But you can type in EXI Le in the search window at xheli and still get parts. you could keep an eye out for a re-stock of the Le, but im not sure they`ll bring it back.
i have installed the tarot thrust bearing/touch bearings main blocks in both heli`s. these main shaft bearing blocks are soooo smooth.
i have also install the tarot v3 cnc head and tail on the v2, and just the tarot v3 cnc head on the Le. the Le has the exi cnc tail.
most of all the cnc parts on my exi`s are tarot brand.
i will have a new black king experimental cnc ballbearing tail case in a couple of weeks to install on the Le.

kool, so from the several 450 size helis EXI make what would be the best for durability so no upgrades are needed, also hoping they come with glas canopys, no fun fixing plastic!CAUTION!!! politicians may be hazerdous to your well being

this is out of stock ofcourse, http://www.xheli.com/18h15-cf450-v3-kit.html its the newest heli they have.
this one seems to have a v3 style head http://www.xheli.com/18h18-exi450pro-belt.html
this http://www.xheli.com/newbofrexi45.html seems more like a mini titan e325 lay out.

i would say these are the better choice`s, sense they are ready have all the cnc goodies.
but you could get like the v2 plastic version http://www.xheli.com/exi450arfrar.html and purchase the 15 dollar cnc tail http://www.xheli.com/exi-31003a.html and the 19 dollar cnc main grips http://www.xheli.com/exi-31102.html and still have a good flying heli.

when i bought the cnc tail case it was only 11 bucks, and the main grip set was only 8 bucks.
looks like the prices are going up, maybe due to the popularity of the EXI brand now.

they have a combo cnc set http://www.xheli.com/exicncmerohe.html

the only things that are plastic are the main grips, tail case & grips, the battery tray and the bottom plate.
the frame is aluminum. oh the bearing blocks and the boom block is plastic as well.
but if you get the cnc head & tail combo you should be alright..

my Le came this way as well, but i ordered the main grips right out.
after the plastic tail case spun on the boom twice, then exploded in flight i ordered the cnc tail case.
the frame seems pretty strong actually, had 4 good crash`s, the last one was the worst. this crash did take out the frame, but man 12 bucks later its flying again. you cant do that with align.
im pleased with the EXI brand, for the money i saved buying these clones, i could afford good electronics and the cnc upgrades.

i would do it again, now im looking at the EXI 500. this will more than likely be a winter project.
we have a solid 4 months of winter here, so thats 4 months of building, saving money, and buy quality electronics.

yep it sucked.
the plastic case just would`nt tighten up enough, no matter what i tried it would rotate in idle up.

im now working on my third 450, its the align v2.
so far i can not tell any difference between the align and the exi i have.
well two difference`s really, the align battery tray is very flimsy, and i dont like the way the bottom plate is designed.
to fix this i ordered a tarot sport v3 full length plastic tray and a exi v2 bottom plate.

all three of my 450`s have the aluminum frame, but i do like some of the exi`s parts better.
im now waiting on some cnc upgrades for the align v2 to arrive and install before i can say its 100% complete.
as it is now, the heli`s flyable. when i get all the replacement parts i`ll post some pic`s of all three heli`s.
