Hello all

This is a first for me to be posting into this forum - But the title above brings me here .....
Im coverting my RJX X90 nitro into a gasser, using a Modified CRRC PRO 26cc engine specially designed for my heli.

I have never owned a gasser - nor do I have any knowledge etc ...
Its a learning curve i understand.

Any heads starts or FAQ I should know - tips - pros and cons etc ....

Any info would be a start.

Cheers

I am interested to know how a modified CRRC PRO 26cc engine(specially designed for heli) look like and where it is available, if you can share the information here.

This was/is being done with a Pantera in the "other forum", may be flying by now. I looked at this engine for a heli conversion as I have several CRRC engines on planks and they have performed well. Depending on the airframe, you will probably need to mill the cylinder fins and ports to get it to fit. The biggest negative may be smoothness with no mag rotor, and or prop to act as a flywheel. There is a version of this engine that fits beam mounts like on a plank, might be easier.

RJX sell a gasser version of the 90 using the CRRC engine so I don't see that it should be a huge problem converting an RJX nitro to gas. Not sure where the prejudice against CRRC comes from, peope also slate CY engines but there are an awful lot of happy users out there. It may even drive the likes of Zenoah to develope their engine as they do't seem to push themselves at the moment.
