im talking about what you guys havent seen. ive been outting it through hard flips from real fast inverted and getting the tail straight up and punching the colective eighter - or +. I can hear the blade and motor bogging down and wanting to give out.

I dont know what a "hard "flip is,a flip is a flip and "real fast inverted",what is that?real fast what?dude i'm not going to keep going back and forth.I have seen all your vids, you are not flying hard enough to break blades in flight, and you are not the first one to do full throttle punches and flips, its been done for years before you even owned a heli...as you have seen, you will bog the motor and slow the headspeed before the blades will snap.

with all the insane 3d guys on RR,find me a thread or post about a set of blades snapping in non 3-d flight.

stop worrying about stuff that is not going to happen to you and go fly.

oh,yeah, chargers beeping, and its nice out.going out for a few flights before a trip to the LHS for some stuff for the 50...be back later.

HBKoWNER,dont take my comments the wrong way,you are moving along well, you are just not flying hard enough to worry about the heli yet.forget about all that BS and just go fly man,it will come, and you cant force skills no matter how bad you want it,so just enjoy the ride.you are in such a hurry to get to the destination that you are not enjoying getting there...peace out till later

Spencer,

You are not going to break the wooden blades. I have flown my MT just as fast as you have flown your Trex...flips, rolls, fast inverted FF and the wooden blades hold up just fine. Trust me and Fender, your blades will be OK.

There are two main reasons for going to a Carbon/GF blade, when flying a Mini Titan. (according to my humble opinion)

1- Eventually the plastic deteriorates from the friction on the leading edge, of a wooden blade, so the plastic film starts pealing off on the wooden blades. That annoyed me.

2- The wooden blades are not symmetrical, so the amount of lift while flying inverted is not the same as in upright flying. Most Carbon/GF blades are symmetrical.

Concentrate on your weaknesses and your strengths will reward you!

That is honestly the first time I have had heard that air friction has caused the film to peel off. Carbon fiber blades are better than wood IMO but are more expensive, so if your pockets are deep---go for it, otherwise I totally agree with fenderstrat, wood blades are perfectly fine for sport flying and some "3D" carbon blades do not a "3D" pilot make. Yoda, where are you Do or Do not--- there is no try

I fly slow and steady and fly ONLY CARBONS reason being they just track better on the smaller helis. And on My Raptor30 well I cant explain it. But let me try the stock woodies are like swinging a 4ft 2 x 4. The Carbons cheap Maverick G5 wide chords made it a whole new heli.

IMO small helis just get better tracking with carbons thats the only advantage I have found.

Bigger helis the carbons were indescribably better on all fronts.

No Really I am the club President!!!
