I have been plagued with glitching tail wag on two different helicopters using the same gyro. I though it was a vibration problem and tried all the cures but to no avail. I ran a web search and came across a web site in England that had an article on the problem I was encountering. The problem according to the article is in the construction of the gyro itself. If you take the top cover off you will see a printed circuit board. The board is secured to the inner case side with a thin layer of glue. Using a magnifing glass examine this joint applying downward pressure at the opposite end. If no crack is evident your gyro should be okay. If you see a crack it needs to be fixed. I used five minute epoxy to fix mine since it was cracked. By losing this attachment point the circuit board is always in motion. This movement is detected and sent to the servo which in turn gives a rudder command.
