Hello John,

the weight of the TD3 EX incl. MAIN ROTOR BLADE SAB 710mm 0226W white/black and SAB TAIL ROTOR BLADE 105mm 0459W white/black is about 5,2 kilogram (empty).

Not realy a lightweight.

The tuningparts are not realy light.

I am not a hardcore 3d pilot, so it is not important for me, to save weight on my helis.

Gottfried

Hi Gottfried,

Is that an LCD temp sensor hanging off your engine?

Hey,

Looks like Gottfrieds machine has even more blue metal parts then mine

I didn´t ground anything on my machines and during the last 2.5 years i did quiet a lot of flights without any problems, even with 72Mhz and 35Mhz

Brendan best I could do. Maybe one of our German friends can help with the few words I could not figure out.
Helitron
Temperature MicroLOG simple and reliable temperature measurement and storage of e.g. model engines IN the FLIGHT! Protection from damage to the engine by efficient temperature monitoring This precise and amazingly small measuring instrument was developed for the Live monitoring of temperatures in models of all kinds (airplanes, helicopters, car, ships). Whether one wants to supervise the temperature of engines, Akkus, automatic controllers or other construction units during the enterprise, the Gerätchen lets itself install very simply and is so easy that it can be used even in miniature models. NEVER MORE defective run sets or broken piston rods by overheating of combustion engines. Contrary to my other temperature monitoring MTU, which warns with a red LED before overheating, this equipment stores the maximum temperature during the flight. After the landing one can read off comfortably the maximum temperature and the current temperature from the display. Run in new engines Observation of engines in the enterprise Monitoring during new nozzle needle attitude Leerlaufeinstellung Operating temperature check in the high summer Examination of automatic controller and engine of electric drives Monitoring of engines, which are inaccessible inserted under canopies Temperature monitoring in trunk models Transmission vote in E-models Attitude of Dehzahl and pitch in the helicopter Function mode: Micro LOG has a precise temperature sensor and a Microprozessor, which measure and store constantly the temperature. The current, the maximum and the minimum temperature are indicated. After the flight one can read off, how hot the engine became during load. This maximum temperature is SUBSTANTIAL more highly than the current temperature after the landing. It is really amazing, model engines become how hot during higher load! After my first flights with this Gerätchen, I " immediately the nozzle needle on; fetter" to preserve adjusted around the engine. I never got this information before during pure temperature measurement after the landing. Combustion engines: Particularly when the flow combustion engines it is extremely important that one never overheats the engine. It is to be found with difficulty the correct dosage with the nozzle needle. In its own article, the approach is descriptive with the temperature-supervised embedment. This method has the advantage that one does not have to estimate no more when the engine is loadable one can it measure and thus incomplete flow prevent. Later if the engine ran in, can supervise one the temperature around a too lean attitude of the nozzle needle, which would lead to the overheating to recognize in time. By Micro LOG one knows the work during the attitude optimally would drive through! Electrical engines:
Brushless electrical motor must not be run in, had usually in addition, their malice. Depending upon load automatic controllers or engine can achieve the critical temperature, at which automatic switching off threatens particularly in the summer fast. Assistance of Micro LOG can be determined the critical heating up fast and surely. In addition one can measure also the temperature of the automatic controller, which is responsible during the enterprise usually for disconnections. Micro LOG does not have its own mini cell for current supply (as in clocks), and has a connection to receiver or Servos. That guarantees a troublefree enterprise of the model! Operation: For measurement one proceeds in such a way: switch on by push of a button FLIES read off current temperature after the landing read off the maximum temperature of the flight by head printing. more simply ' s does not go. Technical data: Size: approx. 40x20x12 mm (LxBxH) Weight: 11 gram Current supply: Button cell Temperature: -50 to 300 degrees Dissolution: 0.1 degrees Display: with 3 digits Special characteristics: precise temperature measurement, temperature storage in the flight very small very easily to install extremely simply Operation with only two keys

Brendan, I looked everywhere for a set of carbon skid pipes. I finally browsed the classifieds here and found some that a person was selling. Other than that I have not seen any. Maybe Dominik can help us there.
