Just would like to start a thread of issues you have had positive or negative about this heli and things I should look for changing if any while I build this heli.

Only from actual fliers of this heli.

This hobby sucks, when your not flying.

this is the only issue i have had with this heli. Chris from AHF USA sent me the parts for free.

Currently I own this heli, and an outrage velocity50. I can say that this heli is as capable as any of the other 50 size helis on the market. my favorite thing about this heli is how simple the airframe is. I would not change anything on this heli. The only thing i changed on mine was the upper mixing arms... i put a set of trex700 arms because i have broke 4 sets due to my crashing

look out on the canopy grommet holes, mine were worn out after about 30 flights, i made a custom t700 canopy by cutting it down, using bo-ya mounts it is working great.

If i think of anything else i will edit this post.

you will have a blast building it, and it is even more fun to fly.

heres my setup
OS 55, outrage 56 pipe
7100R
Align 610 swash
Align 650 tail
Quark (metal case version)
Perfect glow starter
2cell outrage lipo 3600
16oz "Mad Skillz"

let us know how your build goes.

hi again, compared to the velocity... hmmm.. its tough.. my honest opnion, they are both great machines. the main difference is they are both different. its hard to explain I will try to rate them on what i like about each heli 1 being low, 5 being high
my two helis are set up pretty much the same, the velocity has a novarossi, the aeolus has an OS 55. they are the same otherwise both running 2050 on the head.. (same blades, paddels, fuel, electronics.)
the outrage is on all advanced settings on the head. the comparison below is of what I look for in a heli.. If you have any other comparisons you want my opinion on let me know i will edit this post.

..........................................aeolus...velocity
material quality..........................4............5
ease of building..........................5............4
maintainence required.....................4............4
holds up in hard crash....................4............4
stable in normal flight...................5............4
cyclic speed..............................4.5..........5
parts cost................................5............4
ease of pulling engine....................5............3
durability (general wear and tear)........5............5
overall 3d performance....................4............5

I love both helis, over all they are about the same... i do feel that I can fly harder with the velocity because it is slightly lighter. I have about 75-100 flights on each heli and I still cant decide which one i like better. Im in the process of trying to decide which one to sell, to fund a 90. I absolutely love the low parts count of the aeolus. the entire airframe design of the aeolus is genious. electronics "bay", main frame, engine mount, tail section. you can pull any of these chunks off the heli with out taking the whole heli halfway apart. I do find my self flying the aeolus more because it is cheaper to fix... i will give you a hint. You can buy a pack of 2 spindle shafts for aeolus for the same price as 1 outrage.... the shafts are identical. im using aeolus shafts in my velocity as we speek. the aeolus has crashed about 5 times, and i have only bent 1 main shaft... i left craters in the earth 3 times with it... both helis are great and i feel that they outperform some other brands..(ive owned lots of brands of helis) another thing i like about the aeolus is (please noone blast me for this statement), a lot of the parts, especially the head parts, are interchangeable with trex 600. this is great if you need something last minute, i needed blade grips... used some trex600. they are still on it. i will get aeolus grips when i mess these up though.
