my tail rudder servo works but as i put throttle into it it starts to barely move the pitch of the tail blades..its like it is getting caught on something that is preventing it to do its servo full potential. this is on my align 450 sport..i have tried so many different things and it is still happening.. the tail blades pitch barely even moves as does the rudder servo arm once i put throttle on it...any ideas? i posted a similar one last week but still am stumped

can you be a little more clear.you dont need to move the throttle to get the rudder to work, correct, just so we are on the same page?

Pop off the rudder link at the servo and move it with your hand. Do you feel any binding?

this is sounding more and more like something is actually taking a dump in-flight. either your gyro is messed up, your Tx is, or your Rx is. if it is working, and then suddenly not working without any settings changing while in flight, something is experiencing a failure.

check the thrust bearings in the grips. are the washers in the correct order? it might be binding under load.
I think I understood that you disconnected the tail control rod and then spooled the machine up to see if it was binding?

Why the tail servo should move if you change throttle position ?
When I want to check it, I switch the Tx and the heli on
and either I do not start the motor on a nitro heli
or do not arm the ESC on an electric one, plus I check
that the Gyro became active. Then I turn the heli left/right
and see what happens to the tail servo and which way the blades
are pitching. If you have a heli on the ground, with a stationary
rotor (not moving) then any throttle change should not
cause the tail servo to move ( assumingit's a heading hold gyro
and that revo mixing is disabled ).
