I thought you might like to see this video taken earlier today.
Being one of the first FBL units to arrive at Robbe SchluterUK and Midland Helicopters had yet to play with one of these new flybarless packages from Align I was asked if I would like to spend the day at the shop, fit the FBL setup to my model and test it out. Needless to say I didn't need asking twice ;-)
Here is the first flight straight off the bench, nothing fancy tried as yet but first impressions are it's going to be good;

Very surprisingly even in the confined surrounds, with the buildings so close to bounce the wind gusts off of the model felt very solid in the hover.
Collective is obviously quite positive with +-14 degrees but the cyclics felt good. I am only in normal mode which runs 60% dual rate and 16% expo, need more room to try idleup's safely :-)
Next flights are planned over the coming weekend where I shall play about with the gain pots on the control unit, but overal out of the box it's good. I did take my time getting it all ready to go, but within a few hours your flying flybarless.
As I put more flights on the model I will post my findings.
