Cool congrats for learning setup with the king3

Its great to have a heli perfectly setup but!

Dont get mad at me Greg!!!

Dont obsess over a vibe or a little gyro drift. That time could of been better spent flying.

Just because it hovers good doesnt at all mean its gonna fly good.

I set my King2 up almost perfect for hovering once wasn't worth the effort. And at the extremes full pitch or collective it wasn't symmetrical.

here is the vid minimal stick input just inches off the ground in ground effect.

I know how you feel. But once you get to know your heli and get good at setup, you can repeat the tune over and over.

I'm not mad. My Trex Pro doesn't have a vibe or a drift. But since going to inverted blades on the mSR, it now has both a vibe and a drift. Over the weekend I was using the drift to let it do slow piros while struggled to keep it in the air.

not sure what you mean? the tail drift left or the whole heli?

The tail was a tad slow in a hover normal mode and after a few seconds needed a little correction Idleup with a little more headspeed no problems.

My point earlier was who cares how it hovers!!!! A heli setup to hover may fly like crap.

I found it easier to flip a switch than install a 43t pulley.

And I had a few 100 flights back then that was 2 years ago when I started. If you look close you can see me overcorrect.

here is a clip where I use idleup it holds the tail and evens help sit the heli up straight.

nice flight, nice back-yard also.As far as the hovering,i was amazed i got it as stable as my t-rex thats all,I've only been flying cp heli's for a little while.Im only just doing slow foward flight,it flys fine, and being more stable makes it easier to nose in for me cause there's smaller corrections.as i get better i'll be already going in the right directions and be able to make the larger corrections without the fear of going the wrong way.that was the plan ,before i started doing alot of foward flying,it helps and works for me.

got a daughter for a camera girl but the nosein was a tripod. Be careful on the blade hits. If it stops tracking and the spindle is straight get new dampeners. I use the solid in the TREX they are 10 times better than the 2 o-ring setup.

Dougie can tell ya he cuts his own out of windshield wiper hose a 1000 dampeners for under $2.

10 flights daily now thats how ya do it!!!

I will never use o-rings again for a heli!!!!

fine for learning but lame on other fronts.

Rubber is weak and 2 of them squashed together is just plain sloppy. When you get into more FF or FFF. you will really appreciate harder dampeners makes the head tighter and the cyclic noticeably more responsive.
