On a 90 size heli like a 700n, what kind of torque numbers @6volts would be best for the cyclic servos? Do you want the most torque that you can get or does it at some point just becomes over kill?

I personally have Futaba 9351's on my 700 but was thinking about swapping them out with BLS451's. Futaba makes BLS351's witch are closer in torque to my 9351's but the 451's are about 40.00 less expensive.

Your thoughts about the amount of torque one should have on a 90...

Thanks,
C Herzog

My 2 Cents
I have run Futaba 9252s on a 90 before and had no issues, but it is the speed of the servo I look at. All things being equal the top servos are all about the same torque but the JR 8717s are .07 versus your .13 on the ones you are running now. I would even run Align DS610s on a 90; yeah the torque is a bit lower than others but more than adequte and the speed is .08 versus your .13 on the Futaba. Oh and for those that are looking at cost the DS610s are the best bang for the buck.

I only need one!

David Playfair did a very nice write up on servos. Might be worth a read.

WJackson,
Interesting read. Most of it got over my head real quick but I think I know what I'm going to do now anyway. Thanks for posting the link.
