Made my first solo flight on Sunday. Had my first boom strike. Ordered my very first crash kit and am looking forward to putting my Raptor 30 back together. Just wondering if I am alone on a first flight crash.

1 take off and 1 landing to all !!!

absolutely not! It's just part of it.

just put it back together and try it again, crash, glue, repeat.

I suspect the overwhelming majority of heli pilots crashed the first time they tried it. I know I did.

If it can't hover, it ain't worth flying.

I crashed the first, second, and third time. When I started in 1992 there were no simulators and probably no computers fast enough to run a sim anyway.

One good reason to invest in a good simulator and practice on it until you can get the hang of it...... then, attempt same on the "real thing".......

Stick with it, you'll get it one way or the other !

.
I know I spent lots before I got the hang of it. Like the others said, 1st, 2nd, 3rd an so on. I spent over 100.00 in blades alone. My bigest mistake was not the sim, I had a cheep one that kind of helped but my heli was a POS. Still learned to hover it though. Walkera 22E but it was a start. No looking back.

crashes happen. Its a matter of how fast you can rebuild it and learn some more. Practice makes perfect.
