I have a new Spectrum AR7100R rx which can send unregulated power to my cyclic servos, it then drops the voltage going to my gyro/tail servo combo to 5.2v. On another older heli with an AR7000 rx I have regulated the voltage to my rx to 5.5v because that is the voltage limit for my Logitec 6100 gyro, I then use the little Align wire to drop the voltage to 5.2 for my tail servo. Is there a regulator or BEC that can go between my AR 7000 rx (which would now operate at 6/6.6/7.4 volts) and my gyro/servo (which would now operate at say 5.2v) or can any regulator wired to get its supply from the reciever do the job?

I would do a search for ya but I'm at work . I believe ready heli has a reg just for that . Around 20/30 bucks .Or you could stack up a bunch of align stepdowns or make your own . I think it was something like .07 voltage drop across a 1 amp diode .Thats all a align step down is .

The align step down is a .7 volt step down so your servo is actually running at 4.8 or so. It won't hurt it but then again, 5.5v won't hurt the servo either.
