hi again i have just moved the aile - to 30% instad of 50 and the elev + to 30% instad of 50, and the pitch to -46% and now nothing is touching and i got 12+ - on the blades , so is it ok for me to of altered the two 50% settings to 30%... sorry to be a pain boys
Not a pain at all, what Dave said is exactly right , something sounds off. This stuff is simple, AFTER YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR!! lol problem is its alot of info in the beginning.
By lowering the other values you decreased your cyclic pitch. This is the pitch added to the system when you give aileron or elevator. This is measureable as well as the collective pitch.
Mechanical setup has to be close to perfect first though.
First you have to make everything 90 to each other, servos, bellcranks and elevator arm, wash out arms, mixing arms amd the flybar cage. With this done at mid stick you should end up with 0 degrees of pitch at mid stick. If this is done correctly you should also end up with equal throws of positive and negative pitch.
Now you can go to mid stick , ie 0 pitch . Leave that stick there.
Go to the cyclic (right) stick. You move the flybar either with the boom or 90 degrees to it. you will notice that when you just move right or left aileron with the flybar with the boom, you'll get a certain pitch value on your pitch gauge. This is your aileron cyclic pitch. Now with the flybar 90 to the boom, if you move just the elevator, you'll get your elevator cyclic.
Those values you lowered in swash AFR control how much cyclic is input into the head.

I am not seeing a problem in the pics. They are a little blurry but seems ok.
What are your ATV's at for pitch, aileron and elevator?

Alright, since the pics are working, get these shots.
1. parallel with the servo, and bellcranks

then a little higher

2. parallel with the washout base and arms

then a little higher

3. parallel with the mixing arms and flybar

4. one from right behind parallel with the swash

5. two more from the side. One at high stick, one at low stick

Kinda looks like the elevator arm is low in the pic, but the bellcranks look perfect (as far as I can tell)

Bare with me as well, gotta make dinner for the daughter, then bath, then bedtime. Then I'll be back. Dave (DWS6) is very capable as well and might be able to get to ya sooner than I. He also has a setup guide that he spent quite a bit of time doing last summer. If your interested I'm sure he could email it to you. BBL8tr

Hi rapitrex

I need some higher quality camera picks, not from a cell. From what I can tell the wash out arms are not even. This could be from the links going up to the flybar cage being to long or the swash is sitting high. Which I don't think is it cause you say it hits the blocks. What are your individual servo atv's? Not the swash atv. Start with everything at 100%. When your full down the swash looks way off from level. Is that the case?

Ok I think I'm seeing the same thing and from the look it seems the links from the cage to the washout need to be shortened. The washouts on each side should line up with each other when at mid stick. The pic did look like your swash was tilted back, unless it was an optic illusion. Everything else looked darn close. Make sure ATV's are 100% for Ail, Ele, and pitch. Let us know what your pitch range is pos and neg.
