If they made Real Flight or Phoenix R/C on xbox 360 or ps3 would you get it on there instead of pc (assuming you have a console already is my scenario)

Nope, because the sticks have a circular range of freedom whereas a Tx is square. This is annoying in some maneuvers. Those who use a cyclic ring would be fine with the right stick, but not the left.

Do you have a computer? If so why not use it. That way you can check RR to.

Consoles are better on physics all around unless you just got a good aZZ gaming computer which cost 3 times more than a console now days even if you bought the console just for real flight or phoenix and I have a comp right next to my xbox so i am good as well

There's lots of guys out there who don't have up to date PCs, so it might make sense for some of them. Since I have one though, I'd have to say no. I wouldn't want it.

I suspect the market for sims is limited enough without porting them to gaming platforms. It just isn't worth their time to do it.

If it can't hover, it ain't worth flying.

yeah, i need a sim for my Intellivision

actually, I just finished building a new PC, just waiting to get a discrete GPU.

AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE, unlocked 4th core, OC'd 800MHz to 3.6GHz
Xigmatek HDT-S1283
Gigabyte mATX ga-ma785gmt-ud2h
Crucial DDR3 1666 4gb
Western Digital Velociraptor 300
Sony Optiarc 24x dvdrw
OCZ fatal1ty 550w PSU
Rosewill R102 mATX mid-tower
Win7Pro64

I overclocked the integraded HD 4200 from 500 to 700MHz and I'm averaging between 40-50fps in Phoenix on low-medium settings at 1680x1050 - it's acceptable, but a HD 5750 or 5770 would really help.

Cost about $600 including a Dell 2209WA eIPS monitor.

it's alright - it's a game. For real sim time pickup a copy of Realflight or some other sim, used older versions can be had cheap and are way better than this.

I would much rather have it for a console. My computer is up to date but like it was said before, most computers like mine are not meant for games.

I would rather be in a boat, with a drink on the rocks, then in the drink, with a boat on the rocks!

Ha, I used to have one of these systems. I loved how you had to change out the plastic card in the controller for each different game. I loved all the games for that system. There was this one great byplane game where you dog fought and a ballon would fly in the middle every now and then, and you got points for shooting out of the air.

When u don't feel like soaring through the air with a plane, beat it into submission w/ a heli!

Heres what I used to have:
3.2 ghz pentium 4 w/ hyper threading ----liquid cooled.
2gb ram
512mb nvidia 6800 videocard with dvi out
couple of usb extensions
realflight g2
wireless mouse and keyboard.

Used this setup for years for g2, warcraft, starcraft, call of duty, rainbow6, aoe2, half life, and various flight sims. after my son was born, I lost my "man Cave" ordered a laptop and things are a lot more contained.

Here is what I have now.

I7 processer quad core with 8 different brains
2 gigs video ram Nvidia 230m
4 gigs ram
500 gb hd.
HDMI out plugs straight into the toshiba 52inch at 1080i with digital 7.1 audio.
Realflight g4.5 all on high quality graphics
2 usb extensions

I play games more on my laptop than my ps3.

FYI if you do this, never leave the recliner in front of the tv, the wife will cut off your danglies

Paid under a grand for both systems new.

Now if i could only get the controller away from the 2year old. His game of choice is nfs prostreet.

RC Stunt Copter came out about 10 years ago, I don't think there's a game system that will play it now.

I'm going to stick with Phoenix.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

Plus the g2 controller can be mapped to work with most of the simulators.
