Thanks guys for the help. I just bought a GY520/DS650 combo for the spectra. Does anyone have experience with this particular combo? If not, I'll find out and let you guys know.

I'll be cheerful if the 650 holds up through gasser rich tail kicking...thought about trying one myself..but had a 620 seize on my nitro throttle once..replaced it and the new one - a 610 I had handy has held up fine.

Spartan with BLS251
Finally installed a BLS251 with the Spartan on my Spectra-G today. I set it up with the USB Flash-Link unit that I bought off RunRyder. Bottom line is that the gyro holds very steady now. I was using a 611/9256 then swapped out the 611 and ran it with the same 9256.

I was still getting a bit of tail wag with the Spartan/9256 but that may be a bit of rich engine influence. Now with the Spartan/BLS251 it really seems to be rock solid. A bump now and then I should expect. I always run my engine (Hanson 260 Pro+) just a tad rich for added protection.

Anyway, that is my input.

Thanks guys!

Nick
