How come the Airtronics, Hitec guys don't play this silly game? Look at all the fun they're missing out on
Because there aren't enough of them???

Nah, there's plenty of us -- but the Airtronics stuff has been so fast, so reliable and so full-featured for so long that there's no need to make silly commercials dissing the others. The good stuff speaks for itself -- year after year after year.

For over 12 years you couldn't buy a faster stick-to-servo radio than a Stylus, and today you can't buy a faster stick-to-servo radio than an SD-10G, a tx with more features & programmability than others costing hundreds more.

With a track record like that, who needs a snarky, plagiarized commercial?

yes, but is the SD-10G 2048 steps? If it's still only 1024 steps, I'm just not interested.

I've noticed massive improvement in feel on my CCPM helis because of the increases resolution when I went from my old PCM 10X to Futaba.

Nope -- 1024. However I'll politely but firmly question any human's ability to detect individual stick tip movements of less than 1/1000th of an inch.

My stick tips move 1.8". Divide that by 1024 = 1/570" = 0.0018" = 0.045 mm movement per step of system resolution. Even that is too incredibly small an amount of stick movement in which to claim to be able to feel individual steps.

I submit that even minimum servo & linkage slack allows far greater than that.

2048? Fuggedaboudit. It's superfluous. It's a buzzword for sales purposes.

The difference you were feeling was likely stick speed instead.

Have you browsed John's stick-to-servo latency graphs and charts?

I just watched that video and if you were listen closing you would have noticed that they are not comparing apples to apples. The receiver spectrum is using is a 7 channel receiver versus and 6 channel Futaba. Wonder why they would use a lower end receiver by futaba against a more advance spectrum receiver. Lets get a 7 or 8 futaba receiver a do the same test. I bet the results would be different. I've had both and I just like futaba better. It's just what I grew up with. I always monitor my battery packs with a voltage watch and any time the voltage is lower then 2 bars from the top I recharge. I just like to be safe. I don't like the thought of have my heli loosing voltage and fly into the crowd or fly off into the sunset. Just trying to be safe.
