I just ordered a new one way bearing for the main auto unit and it looks to be a new design. The main radial bearing above the one way looks different as well as the actual one way bearing. My old one used to lock up every flight. It came with the sleeve but it doesn't spin to well once inserted into the one way bearing. Now it seems to lock up fine, but when spun the other way it feels really rough. Is this the way it is and it should free up after a few flights, or is it defective?

Anyone else notice this or have a similar experience.

Thanks.

Ok, good to know. I have installed in now with the gears and its all mounted up on the heli. It sertainly feels alot better when mounted. I think the whole assembly is now a closer tolerence so hopefully no more lock ups.

Thanks for the reply's guys.

Mine was the same way then it gave out. Do yourself a favor and just dump the heli for something a little more high quality.

Jake are you aware there is a new one way sleeve and one way bearing that has fixed the locking up problem ? My new OWB/Sleeve was also very tight at first, i flushed it out and saturated it in triflow. After a few flights it begins to free up.... but the you will only notice the difference in an auto at worst.

Yes, that was the one that failed and by failed I mean slipped completely. TWICE! Why should the customer have to be a test dummy? I do not make a ton of money and do not want to risk my electronics on a helicopter that hasn't been properly tested.

Is it possible maybe you got one of the old ones???

AS for me I have flown now on my 4th gal of fuel on this Outrage Velocity and she is still as smooth as the day I put her together.

IF this makes me a test dummy Im all for it.

Im sorry you had a bad deal Jake but his outrage is still in my book a heli to have.

Sorry to hear your misfortune Jake, but you would be the first and only failure of the new one way setup. All new helis go through their growing pains, I believe most if not all the bugs with the Velocity 50 have been worked out (other than the annoying fuel tanks). If you weren't aware, the 600N had the same problem with their one way bearings when they came out, so regardless of what heli you buy they will ALL have problems on the first run, the only thing that matters is how the company responds to the problems, which i think everyone will agree HD/Outrage is the best for.

My new one way hub seems to be holding up. Quite a few flights now and no lockups. Still runs smooth.
