BTW,if you know theres a problem then land ASAP and fix it.Them 4 flights running lean is enough to trash the bearings and damage the motor.

ok, i did the pinch test and it cuts out in 4 secconds. WWWAAAYYY too lean! now if someone could tell me where the low speed tweaker is, i would love that!

but i just found out its an os 50 SX not hyper. (or atleast it says SX on it) so does anyone know where it is?

Check out the pic in this link. Its the little slotted screw that turns the copper plate. Hope this helps http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...?&I=LXHGN9&P=0# It does not move much make very small adjustments at a time

the whole plate turns ot just the screw? i tryed turning the screw and it wont budge

No just the screw. They can be a bit of a pain to turn. Make sure your using a good srewdriver and that the end is not all f ed up. It will turn

i got it one turn out and then it stopped. should i put anything on it to loosen it up? lock lube or some feul?

No, turn it so its centered in the plate. slot straight out. Go to OS engines website and download a manual and set to factory setting. Also what color head does the engine have? If its blue it would be the hyper, gray its not. They all said SX on them.

The needle does not turn like the others do. It only moves about 90 deg each way and turns a cam (the metal plate).

4 secs is not lean its good.If you go in anymore then your leaning it out which is not good..The Hyper has the blue head and 60L carb

He said it cuts out in 4 seconds not speeds up. There for it is lean.

Mine will usually speed up at about 4 seconds and die at about 6 seconds

ok, im going flying tomorrow, but i talked with someone who knows a sh it load about os engines and he said that one of my berrings is shot because at idle it sounds like rivets in the pipe and its bogging on climbouts because of the resestince.

I allready said it sounds like the bearing is bad .If it lets go tomorrow when you fly knowing its bad,be ready to buy a new motor or rebuild that one if it doesn't put a hole in the case.

im going to buy a new engine anyway so tomorrows a matter of weather it goes or not lol.....and if all hypers have "SX"on them, then yes its a hyper it has a blue head
