I blew up my Trex 600L, At least I got to see a smoke show. Now am looking at replacing the motor. I have search the inter web and I think I have narrowed it down to 2 makes, Nue or Scorpion. My question is, What model would be best. I want to use it for AP so crazy head speed is not needed. Plus I will be keeping it on 6s 5000 for now. I have a CC85 for ESC. The rest of the heli is pretty much stock, 600mm blades and stock tail.
Any input would be great or even a different make as well. I will be looking for efficiency if I can.

I used to be a Neu fan. However, with Scorpion motors, I now have the ability to change my own shafts, bearings, etc. All this ability...and I still have yet to have a Scorpion motor bearing go out on me. I had two Neu bearings go out and had to send the motors back to them each time.

Scorpion motors are relatively cheap, and if you oil the bearing regularly they will last a long time. I only use Scorpion motors on all my electrics.

I never had a problem with NEU.
They are kind of an industrial motor.
I am going to try a scorpion thow.

My NEU motor had the armature come loose and it popped out of the bottom bearing. Did not care for that.
I then switch to Scorpion. They are great. I have 2 helis with them and one plane. All three are working great.
