I have noticed that the washout control arms are somewhat stiff. Should they not swing freely when the the linkage are discounted? The servos have no problem moving it, but I cannot imagine that being very efficient.

They should move free and smooth,is there a washer between/in the middle of the arm and washout?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes. Just like the way as documented on Page 7 on the manual, on both sides of the arm. But it is not moving smoothly.

it wouldn't be the first time that an Align part was mismachined.

Pull the bearings out of the arm and see if there is some debris under one of them preventing the bearing from seating. If not, reassemble it and check again. If its still stiff, remove a bearing and add a super thin washer in the middle in addition to the spacer.

you may need a new washout block. it happened on my 500 heli. not very uncommon to get a part out of tolerance. good luck, let us know.

Its possible you may be over tightening them, use some loctite on the threads and back the screws off until they run smooth.
