Hello All

There are quite a few people who have gone fbl local to me.

I have noticed that people who have assembled the RJX head have bandages on their fingers the day after...

I felt for my self and the edges are very sharp, close to razor sharp.

I do recall that some lady sued for spilling hot coffie on her lap for that cup not saying caution hot. There are no instructions in the packages saying to be careful so RJX should do something about this before someone decides to collect some cash

I think if an exploded manual with a few helpful notes(ie dont crush your thrust bearings with the wrong screws, sand the sharp edges of the head, ect) it would be very helpful. Also try to include some links that arnt so brittle.

I watched as a friend of mine installed one on his 700 and I think he managed to cut everyone of his fingers in the process due to the sharp edges.
I installed one on my 500 with no cuts but I think I was more causcious ue to seeing him bleeding all over that nice new head.

You watch

No instructions

Brittle Links

Sharp Edges

People have gotten money for a lot less. Its like handing an exacto box to a 5 year old kid. They dont understand whats in the box and will get cut. Same with us, we think what in the box was machined with the edges rounded off....well its not and there is no warning to let you know.

Im sure this will probably not change anytime soon but hey hopefully someone makes a buck off it it Donate it to the Hati relief fund.

Sorry to hear abot it but I know 4 more people who have cut themselves not includnig myself and now more online.

Im telling you if someone wants some money this is super easy pickings. I do hope action is taken by RJX to at least warn people that they dont round their edges and that the part can be sharp.

Im very curious as to why no post from RJX reps or sales people have even cared to post in this...they are liable too. Its like selling crack and telling the cop that you didnt know it was bad for people.

If I remember correctly there were quite a few hobby mfgs that got hammered for some thing stupid like putting made in america on their products...this is much worse IMHO.

RE: Sharp RJX
Come on let's not encourage people to litigate.
It's one of the main reasons why manufacturing moves offshore.
Every time someone gets a hangnail they want a grand a week to stay home.

Not encouraging anything. Its crazy that this stuff keeps going on and people keep getting cut on their toys

There are no instructions...still a problem

In the beginning there were screws that youd install that would crush the thrust bearings this was fixed.

In the beginning there were clamps that would crack...I think that was fixed.

The links are bittle...still a problem IMHO(Ive setup 5 of these head and now toss the links and replace with quick UK).

Im trying to make it so they and the people who distribute dont get in trouble. At the very least staple some paper warning the buyer that the part is sharp.

RJX
I concur.
If they don't address the problem then let the cards fall where they may.
