Hi

I've just started Step 5 of the buil and inseerted the torque tube into the tail boom.Have fittedTail boom inserts and when I push on one end the other end gear housing pops out 3mm or so .

Have checked and tube is engaged fully. It is as if the torque tube is too long or is this normal.
Any help would be appreciated.

Place the TT gears into the bearings and holders as a unit Installed on the TT outside the Boom. Lay the assembly beside the boom and see if the bearing retainer edges line up with the ends of the boom on each end evenly!

This will tell you whether the assembled unit is the correct length.

I've just tried the standard white gears and they are better 1 -2 mm movement but not perfect.

Comparing the black and white gears it looks like the black ones shafts are longer.

I have cut down the black ones by 2mm off the split end and they seem to almost fit, 1mm movement but I worry they might not engage enough now. Guess it proves a point unless the torque tube for some reason is a little too long.

Anyone else installed the new gears yet?

Hi Marshall B

Did as you suggested with the white gears and the assemble is 2mm too long.

You mean with the black gears installed it is 2mm too long?

If there is a parts fit issue, I'm sure Brian will help you resolve it! I would pm Buzzin Brian about this!

Hi All

Just to complete

Brian has been FANTASTIC as I'm sure many of you know already.
Issue is now resolved. Anyone wondering whether to get a RAVE just buy one. You will not find customer service anywhere like this. I should know I'm a Sales Manager.
Can't wait to get this in the air.
