I just purchased a new sdx and an os hyper 50 engine. I was wondering what blades I should run and what servos to use? I have a spektum radio and receiver. Just "sport" flying I guess no real 3d just some loops and rolls, what are your suggestions?

I have a modded OS 50 Hyper and run 620mm Mavarikks
They run very well.

I have 3 Align 620 cyclics and a 650 for the tail.

Have you built it yet?

I would recommend you read all the posts here on the Hirobo Forum.

Thanks, TheWoodCrafter

I am running radix 600mm main on my SDX, but any 600mm carbon fiber or fiberglass blades other than woodies would work fine.

I'm running AN O.S. Hyper in mine and use V blades 600mm mains, V blades 95mm tails, V 85mm paddles. I also run 9252'2 in it. But plan on going to 8717's or DS 610's. It flys great as is , but want the 6v servos. No matter which bladesyou use, you will like the way the SDX flies! It is an AWESOME machine! I love mine!

You don't have to, no.

I wanted the fast response that this machine is capable of so I have fast digital servos.

Thanks, TheWoodCrafter

TheWoodCrafter is right on the money with what he said, you don't need expensive servos in it to enjoy it. I had an EVO 50 that had 9202's in it it was solid and smooth and a completely different heli compared to the SDX. That one was set up for sport flying and being smooth. The SDX on the other hand, I wanted a lot more and fly it harder and faster.

Can you get 630's on the SDX? If so with what length tail blades? 87mm?

Good good. I have a good Hyper 50 which pulls my SAB 620's all day long, will it still pull the 630's? I only fly 3D.

The 50 should carry the 630 just fine with out loading up the head. You just want to make sure that you are not running insane pitches. I would start out with +-11.

Radix blades may suit your flying style. They provide a nice smooth cyclic feel.
