My 14 year old son is into video editing and creation and is obsessed with creating something similar to the link below. Can someone head me to the right direction? I know quiet a bit about computers but not familiar with projects like this. I presume its a combination of several softwares and combining bunch of still images. In any case, I'm about to purchase a computer for him specifically for school and this project he wants to do based on your responses. Any help would be much appreciated.

My son got into lego animation and used MonkeyJam. It's simple to use and a decent webcam is worthwhile. Bye the way, its a freebie download

That looks like standard stop-motion animation although well done. No computer really needed although I expect good editing software should make it much easier. I googled and found some good software for stop-motion which doesn't move the figures for you but helps plan it and edit it. Almost makes me want to try it. Or does he want to get into 3D animation? I know a little more about that but mostly due to making technical presentations.

My link? I'm not seeing anything. I'll remove it anyway since I've never used it myself.

No problems here. Eset NOD32 detected nothing. No spyware or virus. The software looks legit and respected from all I can find. I think you are dealing with something from another source.

I'm not going to keep hijacking the thread with this. Name the virus and your antivirus software. I've checked it with three different programs. Sure there could still be something wrong with it but I can't trash a link or software because one guy is having issues with his computer that may not even be related. So someone else can feel free to test out this link. It is StopMotionPro.com. It's been used for professional movies and seems legit as anything.
