Had a new issue today. Changed my pinion to a 11t on my Neu 1107-2Y on 4S with a Quark 33a V2. First flight no problem.. Second flight ESC started to cut out under hard loads.. landed thought the 11t might be too much for the Quark.. changed back to 10t.. flew and at first all was well until some full power loops and when coming over the top the ESC started to stutter and almost cut out. I run a separate bec so the radio was under full control at all times.. I checked the battery voltage right after I landed was 15.49 volts (TP2100-4SPL2 20C/40C G4 Prolite Li-Poly Battery).

What do you all think is the issue here? I've only had ESC totally fail never stutter like this. Any Ideas?

thx..

Obvious thing but have you checked your bullet connectors on the motor and ESC. I have seen quite a few posts lately for what you describe and it was the connection to the bullet connecters. Pull of the heat shrink at least to eliminate that as a cause.

I have not heard of an ESC "going south" they only stop working or smoke.

I think it is the Neu motor. I believe that there is a internal component that is slipping. I've tried a Medusa 2800 motor with the same setup and there was no problem. I'm going to move to a 12t pinion on the Medusa which should move the HS from 3100 to 3380.
