HI,
I start to assembly my logo 500 3D v bar head.
Following the manual only three damper plus small washer(like plastic, color black) for standard damper (but when I compress by hand the grip , then pulling out the main grip ther's a small play ... is normal? I think during rotation the force pull the blade and small play remain, right?

I try to put the extra hard damper, are the same of normal but are 4 instead of 3 (standard equipment), but I can't push inside our position, stay out and when I mounting the blade grip and tight the bolt of spindle they doesn't go inside your position but expand and force/block the blade grip working over the ballbearing keeping it!
I try adding grease but problem still present.

Someone had this problem and how solve it.
Many Thanks
MArco

you only use 3 on each side of the vstabi head, they give you 8, two are extras is all. If you want it stiffer you can use two of the spacer shims on both sides between the bearing of the grip and the dampers. No lube of any kind is required or really advised either BTW.

What's the point of the stiffer dampers when head is flybarless anyway ? Wouldn't raising the agility/gain create the same effect, and without stressing the grips as much ?
Personally I've never used the extra shims on my L600, but will gladly hijack this thread to satisfy my own personal curiosity

Stiffer reduces the play and movement of course of the spindle. If you are flying hard 3D with stiffer blades you can bottom out softer dampers, causing rubbing of the main grip bearing to the outer casing of the headblock, the #3092 dampers will prevent such things. If you fly standard or sport this is not needed. Dampers in FBL can of course stiffen sharpen flight, of course as you say you can adjust this as well in the software, but this is more of a mechanical thing and also adds its own feel. NOTE** The 6003D ship with the #3092 dampers anyhow so this is nothing new, only diff is the FBL head requires 3 per side and Flybarred requires 2 per side. Lastly on the two shims per side, this is if you are concerned about any horizontal play when pulling on grips (or) you just want to firm the head that much more is all, personal preference on that, I run (2) shims per side as that is the feel I like etc.... Hope that clears it up abit..?

I buy extra hard dumper but are the same for size as damper inside bag of logo 500 3D v barhead... now I thinking that the original damper in bag are the extrahard as standard equip... now I put the second shim (2 x side) and use only 3 damper ring

Actually the medium dampeners come with a 1 mm shim meaning you could use them without needing to add two of the 0,5 mm shims on each side.

True that covers the spacing on the medium durometer dampers however there is still a 10plus durometer stiffness.
