Still slowly pecking away at my Spectra build and it was recomended to me to double the throttle plate so the throttle servo will last longer. Just want to know the best way to remove the pems from one of them ,, heat and push? just push??
Also in setting up my DuBro 16 oz tank I got all the fittings in and put it underwater and blew trhough a fuel tube while attaching another to both other fittings and it leaks air bubbles on 2 fittings. What can I use to seal up those fittings that is gas proof? Black rtv ,,rubber washers?
Thanks

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

Just thread in a 3mm bolt and push them out while rocking the bolt side to side a little. They're not glued in.

I cranked the fittings on my tank until there were no leaks, but some use small rubber gaskets. I believe they're available at hardware stores.

Just another crappy day in Paradise....Aloha!

. . . or do yourself a favor and don't hack up your tank. Use the fittings it comes with and the brown bung for gasoline:

When drilling the tank for your fittings, try to use the right drills.

Using a normal metal drill will hive you a funny shaped hole which tends to be oversize and leak.

Try to use a wood drill. I forget the technical name but it has a sharp point in the centre which supports the drill while the outside edges cut the hole. Gives a nice clean hole. Also try to find a drill that is a fraction smaller than your fitting. Eg if your fitting has a 5mm od, use a drill that is 4.5mm.

DarkP's advice is sound...Aim for a drill size that would be correct for a hole you were going to tap.. then screw the fittings in from the OUTSIDE first.. because it's easier.. and they will cut a thread (I suppose genuinely tapping them is better but unnecessary on this soft stuff - dubro tank)
Replace the fittings from the inside and they will then screw into the tank wall and improve your fit. I found the original trex450 O-ring dampers coping with petrol fine and use them to seal the stock 90deg carb line fitting.. the others are OK as is since their placement is on a flatter part of the tank wall

I used one of those Dubro metal tubing benders that X-cal recommended. They work well, along with using some of the solder on barbs.

The top 2 valves on mine require nothing to seal them the 90 degree one at the front I just took a thin slice of Tygon fuel tubing and used that as a washer to seal it...
