A clone is a clone. With that being said, it alright, but I would go with a trex, because some parts from a trex will fit but not all are interchangeable and you cant easily find support for this heli.

mastic,
I wouldn't take advice like that from people that's never had one.It could be a good heli, you never know .Look at the X-copter,EXI and other clones, everyone loves them and there good helis.I myself would like feed back from people that own the Tarot because ive been interested in it for a while now.The TT would be a good/cheap upgrade for my Sport if I ever make my mind up ..

I have actually owned a Tarot. I have been import/exporting since 1999. It's alright as I stated but I was less than amused. I and other pilots couldn't get the excessive vibrations worked out. FF flight is about the extent of this machine. It's not built for even moderate 3D. If you want a V8 Mercedes but all you can afford is a V6 Honda Accord, still a decent car but fails in comparison.

Your the only person ive seen say somthing like that,so thats 1 bad review out of hundreds of good ones, most comming from 3D pilots. They say all the parts are interchangeable also. Can you post pics of the one you owned?

Clones are clones, and you get what you pay for. Sure they LOOK the same, but i bet the tolerances between a clone vs Align would are far apart. I wouldnt buy a clones heli unless I KNEW for a fact that the parts wouldnt be junk. Like the HK450, some people like them, but at the same time they are having to upgrade parts right out of the box, and by the time they get it flying its already half align parts. Sure it might fly, but im sure the clones parts will wear and bend well before a known helis would have.

Anyway, i recently got a 401B gyro, and I must say I was surprised how well it performed for the $14. But again, its still no 401. Im not advocating that the performance of a real 401 is worth ten times the price. Theyre cheap and work, but how long will they last before you have to go with higher quality stuff?

Anyway, im interested in what post this thread will gather, as Im too looking for a new 450.

BTW what tarot clone are you looking at? They make a clone 450se v2, pro, and the sport.

The tarot didn't look as good as the one shown in the tread you posted. If you put high quality parts in it, I'm sure it does fly well. I do however like the exi. Keep in mind too that a Trex is not what other heli's should aspire to be or be compared to as far as quality. A Trex is a good entry level helicopter that helped many get into the sport. Not knocking the Trex I owned the Trex 450, it wasn't until I added a scorpion motor, more expensive servos that it really performed well. I just think that you can get any machine to perform if you dump money into it. Whereas, Hirobo, Compass, Mini Titan's ect are quality from the gate at a premium price.

Maybe you didn't get the Pro because everyone I looked at,looks just like the one in the link. The Pro isn't the only 450 they make and ive seen nothing but good reviews on the Pro.

actually there not a bad heli and theres allot of missinformation about the tarot, first since no one here knows yet its made by align this is a fact.

theres quite a few great threads on the heli at HF and the main issues seem to be the mainshaft is a hair different size and it needs the align shaft and main gear. after that its almost identical to align.

Like any heli you throw good electronics in you get good out. You throw cheap in you get cheap out. you cant blame a clone that is a blank canvas if you throw junk at it and then talk trash about it.

I plan on getting anew 450 and after putting hundreds of flights on clone V2 heads for 2 years im not afraid of the tarot at all.

oh and for what its worth all parts on the pro are interchangable and I know all the V2 parts work as well. if you will state they are not please be specific so you can help us out
