I just saw this on the evening news

I hope that they pay is back soon, as the country can use the tax money.

It reminds me of someone owing you money and going out and having a party while you sit home................

I made a mistake once, but I was wrong?

The banks will simply raise their fees to get that money Back and Obama knows it. It's all a part of his plan and a distraction.

A distraction from everything else they are doing. He said in his campaign that he is going to fundamentaley change America. He meant it. The more distractions he can provide, the more of his plans he can put in place. He is just taking full advantage of a crisis.

Three main things:

Government health care that the majority don't want.

The Cap & Trade con that the majority don't want.

Making illegals legal that the majority don't want.

This is a fee on investment banks. Regardless of whether they paid back TARP funds or not, or whether they even took TARP funds. All except the finance arms of GM and Chrysler, Fannie, Freddie or Fed reserve.

This has nothing at all to do with bonuses. It is flat out stealing.....

When you say the majority, what or who are you talking about? The people of America have spoken, and the majority are Democrats right now, in both the House and the Senate. So what majority are you referring to? The Silent Majority.

Seneca, a guy like me thinks the Banks are the thieves here and people that took the said money need to pay it back, period.

Our government shouldn't need to pass legislation, to get paid back.
Like Dennis said, the banks (Good Guys aparrently) will pass the payback onto the consumer. Great isn't it?

In my eyes, big business is self serving and has no patriotism or care for anything or anyone, except of course the Almighty Dollar. Thats the problem with this Country, instead of all for one and one for all, its only all for one. Hooray for Me, and F@#& You!

The government shouldn't be in this buisness in the first place! Why do you have a problem with companies spending their profits how they see fit but you don't have a problem with the government spending money taken from all of us (and our children)on whatever scam/pork project that they can think of?

Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about!

Well tommy. Looks like you don't pay much attention to the polls. Rasmussen, the most accurate of them all, has all the Dems programs NOT favored by the American people at all along with Obama's job rating approvals going in the tank.

The majority of business is self serving to SURVIVE and make a profit in order to continue SURVIVING. They ain't doing so well right now.
Hooray for Me, and F@#& You!
Its to bad you feel that way about American businesses tommy. Maybe the Obama admin has a job for you. Give them a ring. Its pretty much the way they feel as well.

baby uh1 The Government isn't in business, its in bailout. I guess you've heard about the banks being bailed out right. I don't think the government wanted to lend them the money, they aparently had to preventing the financial collapse of the United States. Tom

I was answering the above post, sorry Dennis I wasn't answering you, hence the edit. I guess I ought to use the quote button. Tom

Whoever said the gov is in business? Their only in business to tax you and business. The more they do that, the worse off we all are, including you. Before to long, we will have more tax eaters than we have tax payers. Then, we all will be in very deep doodoo.

The bailouts were a direct cause of liberal policies over the years with the right giving in to them to much and not sticking to conservative principles. Pure and simple.

It may be the majority in the House and Senate, but I certainly dont think it is the Majority of the Citizens of the US.. And believe me its not a silent Majority, it is an ignored Majority.

Dennis, the polls say that the American people aren't pleased with the Presidents performance, am I missing something?

I didn't read a line buy line policy by policy poll. The people aren't happy with the bad economy, and he takes the blame.

All business is self serving, but nowadays the people in charge of things make insane profits, and put hardley any money back in, pay huge bonuses out and later our tax dollars bail them out.

I noticed you are a Conservative. I guess the last conservative in the White House had your same principals of spending right? Or maybe you don't remember. I've heard of tax and spend Democrats, but I saw a tax and spend Conservative.

I call it giving big business a finger and them taking an arm, and later almost imploding.

Pretty sure the majority is saying ,doooh ( apologies to Homer)
I don't think the government wanted to lend them the money,
and

The People said no let it fix it self
I know for a fact that one of my senators responded to a constituent(her Boss)
When she was asked why she was pushing for the bailout while 80% polled said let it fix itself ,responded with ,the people don't understand the situation.

Like this back room deal heath care crap we the people don't seem to matter to the elitists.
Same with cap and trade.

WHO IN THE FU#$ do they think they are ?
All parties are starting to unite ,except the super left .

So comrade from jersey what say you ?
Personaly I agree with you .

I want them in charge, I want change ,in the form of carnage and tears.
Your party has the shortest path to that destination. keep up the good work.

Dennis, the polls say that the American people aren't pleased with the Presidents performance, am I missing something?
Not at all.
I didn't read a line buy line policy by policy poll.
Well excuse me. But, you did say to be more specific, a couple of times.
I noticed you are a Conservative. I guess the last conservative in the White House had your same principals of spending right? Or maybe you don't remember. I've heard of tax and spend Democrats, but I saw a tax and spend Conservative.
I do remember, and I don't like it. Thats the primary reason why the right lost both houses and the president. Not the only reason. But, the biggest.
All business is self serving, but nowadays the people in charge of things make insane profits, and put hardley any money back in, pay huge bonuses out and later our tax dollars bail them out.
If business was not self serving, how long do you suppose your employer would last?

The businesses you are talking about, are the ones that were directly involved in the problems we have now. Of course, they should not be rewarding those that helped that along. Nor, should they be paying outrageous bonuses when they took tax payer money to bail them out. I would agree with that. But, it was liberal policies that put them into that kind of position, and forced them to give thousands and thousands of home loans to people that could not possibly pay those loans back. THAT was the cause of the bailouts. If you want specifics about that, I have it. Let me know.

Small business are the ones that hire the most people, pay the most taxes, and keep our economy going. They are self serving only to survive, grow, and hire more people. Trust me, small business owners are NOT greedy. They can't afford to be. If they are, they fail quickly.
