Hi All

Anyone advise

Should I use an external Bec with the Jazz 40LV on a 4S setup?

If so which one?

For more than a year I've run the Jazz 40 with 3S batteries and 3x HS-5065mg servos/ 1x DS-3500G servo and never used an external BEC. I think you'd probably have the same success with 4S.

Jazz BEC is more then enough for a Rave, even if you have FBL.

Hi, I have had quite a different experience: after converting my Rave to FBL on 4s (Gyrobot 900, Neu 1107/2y, 5065mg cyclic, 9257 tail) the BEC of my Jazz 55-6-18 browned out causing a reset of the Rx.
I have the older 2A-version though, the newer ones -as far as I know-
deliver 2.5A cont. I just disconected the red wire from the Jazz and instaled the CC-BEC (6A cont, 10A peak when powered by 4s). Since then all is perfect. Btw: the CC-BEC weighs only 11g (a bit more than 1/3 oz.)
