hello,

i'm building a logo 600 FBL right now and I find that when I put together the main blade grips as shown in the manual they don't spin freely like I expected. Is it supposed to be somewhat tight?

Also which servo horns should I use for my BLS451 and BLS251? I'm supposed to put the ball links out to 16mm on the servo horns on an FBL setup but the servo horns that came with the servos do not look like they're going to work.

I'm sure I'll have more questions later and I sure appreciate the help. I've been combing through the forums for this build but it seems like the more I read, the more I get confused...

Thanks for the assistance!

the grips are not notchy at all, just seems a little tight to me.

I just saw the mikado servo horns on readyheli. I just assumed the servos would come with horns I could use. I guess I'll be ordering the horns soon.

Many thanks!

May be a dumb question, but I'll ask

Wouldn't have your inner/outer thrust races reversed in your grips??

I just finish mine, and my grips move freely, if you put them horizontal they suppose to fall very easy.( No rods attached)
I flew it for the first time last Sunday, and or I am a very good builder or the V-Bar 4.0 is the best thing right now.
Heyy Phip THANK for your help.

You can use the stock bls horns on the end hole, in actual fact contrary to the manual the last hole is about .5mm out from the hole space you are meant to use on the genuine mikado horns.

Helicraze, a bit off topic, but was reading your Logo list on 'another' site, and you mentioned to use 65mm rods instead
of 60. But am only finding 2mm in the 65mm length; is that strong
enough, or are there 2.5mm available in that length? This is, of
course, on the FBL head......

my grips definitely do not drop down freely. They're actually pretty stiff. I'll have to recheck the install again. I don't think the thrust races are reversed inside either.

helicraze, thanks for the tip, if I get impatient waiting for horns I'll try it out. I still don't have a motor, I can't seem to find any XERAs.

thanks again.

On every Logo i've built or worked on the grips run very smoothly. I'd pull everything apart and make sure everything is installed in the correct order and all bearings are seated properly.

Qrrambero - Congrats on getting your 600 up in the air! Fun bird, ain't it?!

If you are planning to run 10s then the scorpion 560kv 4035 is the best choice...

the Xera's are good but not as much power as the Scorpion...and about the same efficiency from what I have heard

if you were going 12s then I would say the xera is better...but that's just my opinion..

I use Scorpions in my 10s machines...and the xera in the 12s monsters

I'm not necessarily looking for power. I can barely fly out of hover right now. I just want to lazily plod in the air doing circuits. there's no 3D mayhem in the making here. my goal right now are long flight times. i read somewhere that xera 4030/3Y will give me those on 10s.

The Xera 4035-2Y (600kv) motor is pretty strong on 10s. Mod 1 gears for sure if using it
