Found this last night, It may be old news, but i've been trying for over a year to no avail to try to figure out how controlled piro maneuvers are done. This pretty much spelled it out in crayon for me and last night, I went from being able to do a piro or a flip to doing a somewhat controlled piroflip. I still suck, I know this, but i suck alot less in just 4 hours of practice.

No problem with the link, with Norton Internet security anyway.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

Sandtrx.

Dont get too exited, Ive had my moments of dubilation over the past couple of years when I think Im just on the verge of being able to piroflip, each time has ended up being a false alarm.

following the recomendations in the forum by chris with the counting 1234, 1234, I'm actually able to do multiple piroflips at 50% sim speed, keeping it where i want it and even getting it to go in the direction that i want it to. I'm friggin stoked, I'm finally gaining on my timing skills, and all that it took was a little counting

I've been doing these on the sim on/off for the last few months. This did help. Two other practice items have helped on the sim - slow it down a bit and doing inverted piro hovering. I'm still a bit queasy with inverted tail in hovering but getting better.

I'm pretty comfortable now prio/flipping from inverted to upright. Pause and correct then piro/flip it back inverted. repeat. Now just need to stream it together. and do it for real once the land here has thawed out.

looks like a heat wave is hitting us tomorrow (40 deg. F high!) maybe I'll break out of the house long enough to get a few flights in and try this out.

crazy, that something so simple can work for something that seems so complicated, it's about like figuring out how to dance without stepping on her feet, its all timing, I just didn't know how to get in time or what to get in time with.
