I am using the conversion that grandrc and heli-direct sells. Included is nothing to help mount/ support the batteries. I will be using 2x TP 5000mah packs. Could someone please post pictures of their set-ups, or let me know some suggestions? thanks!

I used a piece of sheet metal and mounted it on top of the engine mounts and rear frame supports.. It works nicely and I can adjust the battery either forward or back depending on which packs I'm using. COG is right on..

Have you seen the KDE Direct bottom plate? It has built in cut outs for the battery straps to go around your lipos. Check out their website. I know its more money but seems very nice, high quality and extremely useful. I do not have one but read about it on another forum re the 700 electric conversion.

Just finished my 700e conversion and had the same scenario.

I moved the boom struts down lower, went to Lowes and bought a 8"x10" sheet of plexi glass, cut the plexi the width (2" 3/8th or so) of the bottom tray and long enough to rest on the aluminum skid/frame mount. Then added a small piece of wood under the front of the plexi to raise it even. A couple long 3mm bolts straight down through the plexi and bottom plate with washers. Add your Velcro on the plexi and Velcro wrapped around the pack.
