Hello Access experts..

I have a problem that even MS tech support haven't been able to fix.. I have an app written in Access 2003 SP3. App front end and the data files are in a back end file with linked tables. About a week ago, all the combo drop down fields quit working.. See the picture.. When you open a drop down.. they are all blank. If you click on a space in the drop down, the data is there.. you just can't see it.. ????

I've checked for corrupt data and can not find any. Have Repaired and compact the data and app files also.. Nothing seems to work.. I've written database with Access for years and have not seen this before..

Any help/thoughts?

Thanks

Grant

How big is the back-end database? There are some "undocumented" indexing limits with MS-Access that cause wierd problems if the tables get too big. In one of our applications this resulted in an effective database size limit of about 1GB, even though the official limit should be 2GB.

I'm not an expert at this by any means. Another possibility is that you have some mismatched VB or MS-Office components that got installed on the machine as part of an update.

The data you finally see,...is it the correct data? If it is then it can't be data corruption. My guess is it could be some focus or viewing issue?
